"Partial barrel fermentation in new French oak barriques with lees stirring plays a big role here, producing a full-flavoured style. Big expressive entrance with plenty of character: melon, apricot, peach, roasted nuts, dried fig. Nutty, malty, buttery on the palate with a touch of resin on the finish, And oh, so creamy. Throughout, acidity manages to keep up with the rampant flavour attack." - Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion 2021, scored 88.

WINEMAKING

The complexity of this Chardonnay is the result of partial barrel fermentation in new, French oak barriques, followed by stirring of the yeast lees for several months.
